Inertia

We all have that fear:
One day you realize
that you have to leave
one you once loved.

A window opens in front
of you. The outside
takes a peak. You hear
gravity calling out
your name. And it is this first
step of falling which fills
us with so much worry.

I. When my little brother asked me to give an example of a simile for his assignment

I told him to write

I don’t like my teacher

II. When his teacher corrected his assignment

the teacher wrote

I don’t, like my teacher

as though they were my own.
